Why I want to be thinner.

I will look fit and healthy
I will have accomplished something to be proud of.
I will look good in my clothes.
No more tight clothes.
GWBPTBw/M
I will feel good when I meet people from the past.
I will feel and look younger.
I will have fun putting on clothes.
I will feel more in control of my life.
I will be living to my potential (physically).
I won’t mind eating in front of others.
I will have an increase of self-esteem because I did it.
I will be proud of myself.
I can share hubby's passion of hiking more easily.
I will feel good when I resist unplanned eating.
I will look good in skirts.
I will stop gaining.
This will respect my temple.
I’ll look good when I’m pregnant.
I will feel physically confident.
I will gain physical self mastery.
I will stick out – shine.
I won’t feel guilty.
I can buy really fun clothes.
I will look good.
I will be physically fit.
I will be able to wear a smaller size.
I will be healthy.
I will have more energy.

Just a warning.......alot of those things are not a direct result of being thinner. I have thin friends who aren't healthier than not so thin people. Being thin is just a body size for example and fitness comes through exercise etc. The heart is not stronger from just mere weightloss etc. Just thought I'd throw that out there:)

Hi Mama! I totally agree with you. I think I read on your blog about writing all the things you want to do when you are thin and then looking at the list and doing it now.

I am trying to not postpone my life until I am at the size I want to be. I do believe that it will NOT change my happiness. I am happy and content now, but striving to improve my self- mastery (being over weight doesn't mean that there is a lack of control, but it does in my situation. I have always watched my weight and been pretty successful until I was prego with the youngest ds and was so sick. At that point I ate anything and everything in order to not feel sick temporarily. I haven't been able to break that cycle.)and health.

You are right too that being thin does not make one healthier, but I feel the way I'm going to get thin - eating better and exercise will cause me to be healthier.

Thanks for your post and I'll let you know how things go. :)

Yep, "eating better and exercise will cause me to be healthier"... also, I loved some of your reasons:
I will feel good when I meet people from the past.
I will have fun putting on clothes.
I will be more dainty.
I will be living to my potential (physically).
I won’t mind eating in front of others.
I can share hubby's passion more easily. (I smiled at this one... so true)
This will respect my temple.

I just wanted you to know that I will be reading your blog with interest...
