Glenn accepted a job with a company called V. He is very excited and we are off on another adventure.
Wednesday - We went to our favorite chiropractor in a town an hour away, Dr. V. This is the chiropractor that dispelled the myth for G that chiropractic work it psycological. Then we went to the O. M. Temple Open House. This is the second open house that my boys have been to. They love to go there. (When we were in the D. Temple Celestial Room, C experienced his first "happy tears".)
Our favoirite part of this tour was the ride to the temple from the parking lot in a golf cart type thingy. P was up in the front hollering with joy with his hands up in the air. It was fun to watch the type of joy that children display on a regular basis.
We belong to a boys club full of homeschooled boys that are all around the same age. We take turns hosting the club and do something that the boys will enjoy. That afternoon we had a bird show in our back yard for the club. We saw a red tailed hawk, and two American Kestrals.
Thursday C and I headed up to Camp Jerimiah J. for Cub Scouts Day Camp. I got to shoot sling-shots with the boys. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or them.
That evening the boys went to "Aliens and Monsters" and S and I shopped.
Friday morning I met with a homeschooling group at S. Pond. W found a baby robin on the ground that let him pick it up. He loved it and called him "his bird".
Later that afternoon we returned to S Pond for a V company party. W was excited to see "his bird" again. I tried to explain that it might not be there still. He kept the faith and sure enough he came walking through the grass with a little bird in his hands. He packed it around with him the entire time we were there. He'd set it down so that he could go and do something fun and then he'd return to it and it would still be in the same spot. One time he even hired (for free) two little boys to babysit while he did something else. They took the job very seriously and gave it back right away. Just before we left the bird disappeared. I was a little relieved since I didn't want to explain that it wasn't "his bird" and that we had to leave it. He was heartbroken and searched everywhere in vain.
Meanwhile, Porter made friends with a grandpa that was there with his family. The buy began teaching him to fish and he caught one just as we were leaving.
Tonight we are going to our homeschooling group potluck and kickball game. My kids love the homeschool activities. They get to see their best friends and play and do fun things. I like it too because I get to see my friends too.
