Weigh In

I haven't weighed in for 2 weeks because of travel. Well, I'm down 1.5 pounds. I'm so happy with that. 1 and 1/2 pound loss with travel and delicious food is something I'm proud of. There was such a wonderful meal spread at every meal. I made sure I only put the things on my plate that looked really good and then I enjoyed one plate full and no seconds. I also let myself have one helping of dessert. MMMMMMM! How wonderful that we can live normal lives and lose weight or keep a healthy weight. We just have to keep our portions in check. I counted points when I could, but for the most part the huge meals I lost track and just guessed, but it worked out okay.

I think you're right... portion control (and protein) helps us in this process. It's not about 'not eating'. It is about learning how to have a healthy relationship with how we think about food. I'm proud that you stayed away from an 'I'm on vacation' binge. For me, the 'after vacation weight loss' can be a blessing as well as a curse. The loss is usually the result of what I was doing before, but can give me the 'excuse' to take it easy when I get home. Keep up the good work.

You are so wise. I'm not sure the reasoning, but I did slacken a bit after I got home. I'm back on track and feeling good. The cool thing is that I don't feel restricted or starving. I feel in control.

Weight Watchers is all about portion control, you have that right! We can enjoy anything in moderation!

Congrats on the loss. That's awesome!
