Not Good

Today I was so proud of myself until just before dinner at about 4:45. I took one taste of a treat a friend brought and that was the beginning of the slippery slope. I've got to devote more time to diet and planning. I don't know how I will do this. I need to stay motivated and read more blogs, etc.

I know how you feel. Yesterday I bought a candy bar (1st since I've started my diet, which is good), but I got so down on myself that I thought I would for sure show a gain at today's weigh in. With all your responsibilities, it is really tough for you to carve out time for yourself. Like you said, reading the blogs helps stay motivated, and don't forget your advantages and thought/response cards. This is a lifestyle change, not just a short term goal. I'm pulling for you.

That is so true. It is easy to get discouraged if you think short term, but if you think long term - as in a lifestyle change- then I think it is easier to be patient. We are teaching ourselves how to live and enjoy life for the rest of our years.
