I am waiting for the Beck Diet Solution book to come in the mail. It tells you that you can use any diet and it gives you tips on how to stay on that diet. I'm going to use what I call the Kelly Diet.
Here are the rules.
Eat three healthy meals a day.
The reason I'm not doing the snacks like so many diets say is because my problem is that once I start eating I have a hard time stopping.
*Breakfast – grain - protein – fruit
*Lunch – vegetable – fruit – protein
*Dinner – Main Dish (whatever my family is having) 2 vegetables
*Dessert – fruit (optional)
No second helpings.
I sit down and eat. This means that
*I don’t get up and down from the table.
*I don’t have any kids on my lap.
*I am not feeding any kids. (To do this I guess I will have to make sure all of my kids are fed before I get to eat. So be it.)
One gallon of water a day.
Multi-vitamin and B and C vitamins.
Major holidays and birthdays I’m welcome to any treat or goodie I want.
Regular days I’m welcome to any treat or goodie I want, but I have to compensate in my meal BEFORE I eat it. In other words, it must be planned out. I can’t just eat whatever and say, “Well, I’ll have a small dinner later.”
Exercise - This is the plan. I will exercise cardio 2 days a week for one hour on Monday (11AM), and Thursday (6:15PM) I will do a power pump class Tuesday and Thursday (6 AM) and Saturday (9:15AM). I’m trying to fit in an hour of yoga on Wednesday and Friday. I’m not sure when I can do that.

Wishing you good luck! As you know I am not into dieting but nevertheless I hope it goes well for you!
We will see. This is the first time I've actually tried something like this.
Here we goooooooo!
What I have found is that as I have gotten into the 'process' I have found what works for me. I like your idea of feeding the little ones first, then not having them on your lap as you eat.
