Monkey See, Monkey Do

This was the scene in my living room this evening before my husband (cub scout leader) took my son to their scout meeting.

This was my son making a fruit salad.  Then he took a picture of it, like I so often do.  He said it was healthy and then kept talking about all the healthy aspects of it - I recognized some of the words as being VERY familiar.

There is no better way to make a difference in a life than to raise children.  They are watching.  They want to be like us.  I often get comments about what great, thoughtful, kind boys I have.  For that I am thankful, but I often pray that they will turn into the honorable men that I envision despite my weaknesses.  I do my best.  It sometimes is not the best, but I have faith that God will make up the difference.  This is my lesson of the day and my reminder to try even harder and to be the person I want my kids to be.

Who Moved My Cheese?

Each day we snip a bit off of Stafford's binkie. We are wondering if her will notice that bit by bit we are moving his cheese.  It is already half gone and he still wants the thing. We're hoping that when it is a small stump it will be more trouble to keep in than it is worth. Wish us luck.
